That above paragraph in itself should be enough to get you to read this work if you've never picked up a Sheldon book before.
One interesting fact I read somewhere about him: he never sat down at a typewriter to write but instead dictated to his secretary. At the end of the process, he would then cut away as much as eighty percent of the novel. No fat--one of the reasons his books or so lean and tough to put down. Even that is bare bones! Check him out if you haven't.
